Fitting in a workout can often be hard, but as we’ve learned from Rose’s 15 MMC Challenge you can fit in workouts everywhere!
Even on a road trip! I might have to try that on my five and a half hour drive to West Virginia on Friday!
Anyway, the downtown Washington Sports Club only offered a strength training class that fit in with my schedule during today’s lunch – and I needed a strength day for my half marathon training. This quick 45-minute class had me in and out of there, and left my muscles feeling worked!
Before I left, I had this banana to keep up my energy during the class. Google Chat in the background. Was definitely working hard this morning!

We did planks, triceps, pushups, ab work, squats, lunges, seriously – the works!
When I got back to my desk I ate my lunch. This very vibrant Strawberry Goat Cheese and Pine Nut Salad on Spinach.

Nope, no dressing!
I skipped dessert because I knew we’d be having office birthday cake at 3:00 this afternoon. Normally, I skip out on the office birthday cake, but 1) It was a Ben & Jerry’s Ice Cream Cake and 2) It was for MY birthday – which is this Saturday, June 13th! I’m going to be 27! Officially in my late twenties!

I can’t even tell you how good this cake was. Seriously, I’m not really a sweet person, but the chocolate shell was the perfect coating for the vanilla and chocolate ice cream cookie base. Ben & Jerry’s NEVER fails to disappoint.
Has anyone been to the Ben & Jerry’s Factory in Vermont? I went when I was just six years old on a trip to Stowe.
